Software in the Library

The following is a list of the software available on the Library's desktop computers and on the Web. The Library has separate pages explaining bibliographic management tools and mobile apps and sites.

EndNote and SAS are available on PCs in the Computer Lab. These are comprehensive commercial programs used for data management and statistical analyses.

Microsoft Office, All computers in the Library are equipped with the ITS supported versions of Microsoft Office, which includes Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

OmniPage Professional - scanning software which can convert images into text using optical character recognition technology (OCR) is available in the Computer Commons.

Adobe CS6 Design Standard - software for web and graphics design. Available on 10 of the 20 computers in the Computer Lab.

Firefox and Internet Explorer are on the PCs, and Firefox and Safari are available on the Macs.

Spark is a cross-platform IM client that provides full compatability with the features of WCMC Talk. Spark is the officially supported and distributed client by ITS, and is recommended for all users.

Timbuktu Pro is remote control software and allows a person to view a desktop remotely.

Citrix is on all computers in the Library. This software is supported by ITS.
